Large car boot sale and flea market in the heart of the village of Malbrans, near Ornans
Nestled at an altitude of 548 meters on the first plateau of the Doubs, the village of Malbrans (approximately 170 inhabitants) hosts its large car boot sale and flea market every year at the Place de l'Église. With its 75 exhibitors spread over more than 420 linear meters, including about fifteen antique and flea market professionals, this event goes far beyond a simple village car boot sale.
The mix of exhibitors is one of the major attractions of the Malbrans car boot sale. Alongside individuals clearing out their attics and cellars, professional dealers and antique dealers offer regional Franche-Comté furniture, old tableware, artisan tools, vintage toys, books, and collectible items. This blend of the warm amateurism of a car boot sale and the expertise of professionals makes this event rich.
Malbrans is part of the canton of Ornans, in the Loue valley. This Franche-Comté region, famous for its limestone cliffs, its Vauclusian springs, and the landscapes that inspired the painter Gustave Courbet, offers a remarkable natural setting. Visitors to the flea market can extend their day with a visit to the Courbet museum in Ornans (8 km away) or a walk in the Loue valley.
The flea market is held outdoors in the village square. Refreshments and light meals are provided by the organizers. Entry is free for visitors. Registration as an exhibitor is open to individuals and professionals.
