Annual car boot sale in August in the streets of Selongey, with brewers' market and local products
At the end of August, the streets of Selongey come alive for the annual car boot sale which brings together around 80 private exhibitors. This festive day has become an anticipated event in this town in the north of Côte-d'Or, combining treasure hunting and discovery of Burgundy's local products.
The originality of this car boot sale lies in the presence of local brewers who present their various craft beers, creating a unique atmosphere blending flea market and gastronomy. Producers of local products — Burgundy snails, honey, jams — complete this gourmet offering. Refreshments and food available on site allow you to savor these specialties while browsing.
Selongey, a commune of about 2,500 inhabitants, is located in the Vingeanne valley, northeast of Dijon, between the Dijon plain and the Langres plateau. This town, which was an important center for knife and cutlery production, retains interesting industrial heritage and the atmosphere of a typical small Burgundian town. The streets of the center host the car boot sale in a human-scale setting, conducive to exchanges and encounters.
Registration is free by email, with a price of €2 per linear meter (minimum 2 meters). Exhibitors set up from 6:30 am for an opening to the public at 10 am, until 6 pm. The simple and economical formula attracts sellers and bargain hunters from all over northern Côte-d'Or.
