Every spring, the village of Polminhac (15800) comes alive with its Vide-Grenier et Marché aux Fleurs, an event that celebrates the arrival of the good season in the Cère valley. The village, dominated by the imposing Château de Pestels, a medieval fortress perched on a rocky outcrop, offers a remarkable setting for this event which combines treasure hunting with gardening.

Car Boot Sale and Seasonal Plants

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., exhibitors set up in the village streets to offer their second-hand items: furniture, crockery, trinkets, clothes, toys, and books. At the same time, the flower market allows you to purchase flower and vegetable plants to prepare your garden. Placement is free and the exhibitor fee remains very affordable at €2 per linear meter.

Ham Weighing and Delicacies

The highlight of the day is the "La pesée du jambon" (Ham Weighing): visitors are invited to guess the weight of an authentic local ham in a fun and gourmet competition. The refreshment stand offers homemade cakes, crepes, and quiches throughout the day, providing refreshments between bargain hunting.
