The 2025 edition of the Vide-Grenier de Tarascon was held on Thursday, May 1st, a public holiday, in the city center of this Provençal town dominated by the castle of King René. Individuals and families gathered for a day of friendly treasure hunting on the banks of the Rhône, opposite Beaucaire. In the exceptional setting of Tarascon, the city of the Tarasque inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage, treasure hunters and vendors animated the streets with tableware, clothing, toys, books, and various items offered at low prices.
On Thursday, May 1st, 2025, the Vide-Grenier de Tarascon brought together locals and visitors in the city center of this historic Bouches-du-Rhône town, at the foot of the majestic castle of King René which has dominated the Rhône since the 15th century. This public holiday was an opportunity for individuals to offer treasure hunters a fine selection of second-hand items in a remarkable heritage setting.
The stalls offered the usual variety of Provençal car boot sales: clothing and accessories for the whole family, tableware and earthenware, toys and board games, books and comics, tools, furniture, and decorative trinkets. The friendly atmosphere of Tarascon, a city marked by the legend of the Tarasque and the memory of Saint Martha, contributed to the success of this popular event.
Located opposite Beaucaire on the left bank of the Rhône, a few kilometers from Arles and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Tarascon welcomed treasure hunters from all over the region for this spring day. The Vide-Grenier de Tarascon will be held again in 2026 with a new edition scheduled for Friday, May 1st.
