An original eco-friendly event each June. 2026 edition: Saturday 13 June, 9am-1pm at Les Achards recycling centre. The principle: give a second life to items saved from the territory's recycling centres, with Recyclerie Cœur Vendée. A joyful, activist event against overconsumption and waste.

Visitors take items home at whatever price they give; proceeds support Les Chantiers du Réemploi. A drop-off zone welcomes usable items. 2025 saw 1,700 objects saved — 2026 aims to beat that record.

Les Achards, central Vendée

New commune born from merging La Chapelle-Achard and La Mothe-Achard; around 5,000 residents. Central location, 20 min from Les Sables-d'Olonne, 40 min from La Roche-sur-Yon. The Pays des Achards community of communes runs the centres.

An ecological event

Reuse at work: diverting usable items from the waste stream. Recyclerie Cœur Vendée works on this all year; this is the showcase. Waste drop-offs not allowed during the event.
