Every year in November, the Salle Polyvalente in Hanches transforms into a vast bazaar dedicated to the world of sewing and knitting. The Hanches Sewing and Wool Workshop Sale, organized by AEDAH (Association Éducative et Amicale de Hanches), is a one-of-a-kind event in the Eure-et-Loir Thymerais region.

Seamstresses, knitters, and needlework enthusiasts offer fabric by the meter, balls of wool, haberdashery, lace, threads, buttons, templates, patterns, needles, and all kinds of sewing and knitting accessories. Creations made from wool or sewn—sweaters, scarves, bags, plush toys, decorative items—are also for sale. It's the perfect opportunity to restock your supplies at reduced prices or discover rare materials.

AEDAH, the Driving Force Behind Hanches' Community Life

AEDAH (Association Éducative et Amicale de Hanches) is one of the most active associations in the commune of Hanches. Throughout the year, it organizes educational and cultural activities, including this workshop sale, which has become a must-attend event for sewing and wool enthusiasts from all over the Eure-et-Loir department and neighboring departments.

Since 2024, AEDAH has offered two workshop sale sessions per year: one in autumn (November) and one in spring (March), to meet the growing demand from participants. The event is held at the Salle Polyvalente, 25 rue de l'Église, 28130 Hanches.

The commune of Hanches (28130), located in the Thymerais region about twenty kilometers northwest of Chartres, is easily accessible from the RN12 connecting Paris to Brest.
