The Club des Pêcheurs à la Mouche du Pays de Morlaix is an association dedicated to the practice and promotion of fly fishing in northern Finistère. Fly fishing is a sport fishing technique that involves casting an artificial fly imitating an insect to catch trout, salmon, and other river fish. It is particularly well-suited to Breton rivers, which are rich in salmonids.
The club organizes fishing trips, introductory courses, competitions, and social events throughout the year. Its Troc Puces Toutes Pêches has become one of its major associative events, allowing dozens of exhibitors and visitors to gather around their common passion. Raffles and light refreshments complete the event.
The Pays de Morlaix is an exceptional area for fishing. The river of Morlaix (the Dossen and its tributaries), the rivers of northern Finistère (the Jarlot, the Queffleuth...), and the bay of Morlaix offer remarkable conditions for both freshwater and sea fishing. The bay of Morlaix is particularly renowned for the richness of its seabed and the quality of its coastal fishing.
The fishing tradition in this region is ancient, and Morlaix fishermen are known for their knowledge of local spots and their commitment to practices that respect natural environments. The Troc Puces Toutes Pêches is part of this culture of sharing and transmission.
The Troc Puces Toutes Pêches will be held in spring 2026 (April–May) at Place Charles de Gaulle in Morlaix, from 9 am to 5 pm. Raffle and light refreshments on site. Information from the Club des Pêcheurs à la Mouche du Pays de Morlaix.
