For over 15 years, the Amicale Laïque d'Étel has been organizing a swap meet for the benefit of the students of the École de la Barre. The event takes place in the exceptional setting of the Criée, cours des Quais, in the heart of the port of Étel. The profits fund the school's outings and educational activities.

Étel, a small town of character on the ria

Étel is a fishing port of about 2,100 inhabitants, nestled at the bottom of the ria d'Étel, one of the most beautiful estuaries in Brittany. Known for its famous barre d'Étel — a shifting sandbank at the mouth of the ria — the town retains a strong maritime identity. Its old fish market, converted into an event space, regularly hosts markets and events, perpetuating the port town's tradition.

A family event at the port

The setting of the fish market offers an ideal covered space for this swap meet. Families can browse the stalls while enjoying the port atmosphere and on-site catering. The affordable rates for exhibitors (€4 per linear meter) encourage participation from as many people as possible.
