The summer merchants' sale in Les Sables-d'Olonne

A highlight of the tourist season, organised by UCSO. Each late August, downtown shops set out their racks, tables and bargain bins on the pedestrian streets for two intense open-air shopping days.

The event spans the main historic-center streets. The mood is cheerful, musical, with lively footfall of residents and holidaymakers enjoying the last days of summer.

The merchants' union runs several major events: spring sale, summer sale, Christmas. It federates the independent downtown shops.
