Summer car boot sale in the village of Talais, at the tip of Médoc facing the Gironde estuary.
In June, the village of Talais (33590) hosts its summer car boot sale in a unique setting at the tip of Médoc, facing the Gironde estuary. This small village, one of the northernmost in the department, offers a remote setting where private exhibitors set up their stalls to offer clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, and flea market items. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic.
Talais is a commune of a few hundred inhabitants located between Soulac-sur-Mer and Jau-Dignac-et-Loirac, at the very north of the Médoc peninsula. The village is bordered by the marshes of Bas-Médoc, a landscape of polders and canals reminiscent of the wetlands of Holland. The vineyards of the Médoc appellation are alongside meadows where Bordelaise cows graze. This preserved environment makes Talais a popular place for rejuvenation.
The Talais car boot sale has the flavor of the first summer days: families come, stroll between the stalls, and enjoy the sea air blowing from the estuary. The refreshments offered by the organizers allow you to cool down while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of this village at the tip of Médoc.
