Spring flea market in Grosbliederstroff, a border town of Sarre
Grosbliederstroff is a commune of about 3,500 inhabitants located on the Franco-German border, on the left bank of the Sarre. Opposite the German town of Kleinblittersdorf, it is part of the Sarreguemines agglomeration. The spring flea market benefits from this cross-border position, attracting French and German bargain hunters.
The spring flea market brings together flea market enthusiasts for a day of treasure hunting. Trinkets, tableware, antique objects, vintage clothing, and curiosities are offered by exhibitors. The proximity of Germany brings a diversity of objects not found everywhere in Lorraine.
The commune derives its name from Moselle Franconian and bears witness to the complex history of this border region. Grosbliederstroff was marked by the two world wars and by the permanent cultural exchanges between France and Germany. Today, it is a peaceful residential commune where it is good to live and hunt for treasures.
