The Spring Boot Sale in Orbey is one of the first outdoor events of the season in the Alsatian High Vosges. Every spring, as the mountains wake up, private sellers and bargain hunters gather in the village for a friendly day discovering forgotten treasures: clothes, books, toys, crockery and decorative objects at bargain prices.
Orbey, a High Vosges village
Orbey is a village of around 3,500 inhabitants in the High Vosges of Haut-Rhin, at an altitude of about 550 metres. The commune includes many hamlets scattered through valleys and hills, and features remarkable natural heritage: the Lande and Fischboedle lakes, waterfalls, mountain meadows and conifer forests. The village organizes two boot sales a year: one in spring and one in August.
