Every year in May, the Fontenoy-la-Joûte Book Village celebrates youth with the Enfantina festival. This literary event dedicated to children and teenagers is organized by the association des Amis du Livre and offers a rich program of author meetings, creative workshops, and fun activities.

A Book Village Focused on Youth

Fontenoy-la-Joûte is one of the eight Book Villages in France, a unique place in Lorraine where the village houses are home to second-hand bookstores. With Enfantina, the association des Amis du Livre affirms its commitment to instilling a love of reading in the younger generation. The festival hosts publishing houses specializing in children's books, offering families a panorama of literary creation for children.

A Rich Program for Young Readers

The Enfantina festival features signing sessions with a dozen youth literature authors and illustrators, educational and creative workshops led by professionals, and fun activities suitable for all ages. Children discover the world of books through interactive activities that combine reading, drawing, and imagination. Specialized publishing houses present their new releases, offering families a complete overview of literary creation for young people.

A Festive 2026 Edition for the 30th Anniversary

The 6th edition of Enfantina, on Saturday, May 9th, and Sunday, May 10th, 2026, is part of the festivities for the 30th anniversary of the Book Village. The program includes: twelve youth authors for signing sessions from 10 am to 6 pm, educational workshops, cosplay, and a Pokémon exhibition that will delight young visitors. The eleven village shops are open, and fast food is available on-site. Entry and parking are free, making this event accessible to all families.
