Monthly flea market in the Marais Poitevin
Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux is a commune of about 800 inhabitants in the heart of Marais Poitevin, also called Venise Verte for its canals lined with poplars and ashes. The village hosts a monthly flea market listed by Vendée Tourisme — an exception among mostly-annual Vendée flea markets. This recurrence offers browsers a regular rendezvous and loyal sellers a monthly gathering.
Monthly format adds real value to local life: constant village animation, loyal seller community, drawing Marais Poitevin visitors including many seasonal tourists.
