The flea market organized by ARE for the renovation of Saint-Martin Church in Masevaux-Niederbruck, under a marquee, 10 rue de l'Église
The Saint-Martin Church Flea Market in Masevaux is an original initiative that combines secondhand culture with heritage commitment. Organized by the Association for Church Renovation (ARE), this annual event takes place every June at 10 rue de l'Église, in the heart of Masevaux-Niederbruck, steps from the monument whose restoration it supports. All proceeds are donated to funding restoration work on Saint-Martin Church.
Saint-Martin Church is one of the emblematic religious monuments of Masevaux-Niederbruck. Like many rural churches in Alsace, it requires regular restoration work. The ARE, an association of dedicated volunteers, has taken on the mission of raising funds for this restoration through its annual flea market.
The market is held under a marquee, offering protection from unpredictable weather while maintaining the atmosphere of an outdoor market. Open from 8am to 6pm, the event offers a long visiting window. Visitors find a wide variety of secondhand items: clothing, books, crockery, small furniture and decorative objects. Every purchase contributes to saving Masevaux's architectural heritage.
