Saint-Maixent-sur-Vie is a ~1,500 village in the Vie valley, about 10 km from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez beaches. Its public school has a dynamic PTA running an annual flea market. 2025: Sunday 14 June, 2026: expected 13 June.
