Flea market as part of the 812th Saint-Denis Fair in Perche vendômois
Since 1213, Mondoubleau has hosted its Saint-Denis Fair, one of the oldest fairs in France. Organized by the Union of Merchants and Artisans of Mondoubleau, the municipality, and the Departmental Society of Agriculture, this historic fair takes place every second weekend of October in the streets of this town in the Perche vendômois.
On Sunday, the Football Club of Mondoubleau organizes the traditional autumn flea market which complements the fair's program. Exhibitors take over the town's streets to offer antiques, bric-a-brac, furniture, and everyday objects. This flea market benefits from the considerable influx of the fair to attract bargain hunters and curious visitors.
The weekend program includes a local artisan market, a cattle competition, exhibitions by artists from the Couëtron valley, carriage rides pulled by Percheron horses, and activities for children. The fair is also an opportunity to discover local Perche products.
