Major annual spring flea market in Sourdun village, at the gates of Provins
The Sourdun Spring Flea Market is one of the great bargain-hunting events in southern Seine-et-Marne. Organized by the Sourdun Seniors' Committee, this annual event brings together 200 to 300 exhibitors each spring in the village streets, around the Church Square and on the School parking lots. A true popular festival, it attracts thousands of visitors from surrounding towns and from all over ÃŽle-de-France, drawn by the scale of the event, the diversity of stalls, and the friendly atmosphere. Inflatable games for children, food and drinks on site make this day a time of family sharing as much as an event for demanding bargain hunters.
Every spring, the small village of Sourdun transforms into the flea market capital of Provinois. With 200 to 300 exhibitors spread through the streets, on Church Square, and in the School parking lots, the Sourdun Spring Flea Market is one of the largest bargain-hunting events in southern Seine-et-Marne. Masterfully organized by the Sourdun Seniors' Committee, this popular event traditionally opens the great spring flea market season in the region.
Behind the success of the Spring Flea Market hides an iconic village association: the Sourdun Seniors' Committee. Composed of passionate volunteers, this associative structure devotes all its energy to organizing events that enliven village life. The profits from the event then help fund activities and outings organized for the town's seniors.
With 200 to 300 exhibitors gathered on a single day, the Sourdun Spring Flea Market offers an infinite range of items and bargains. Individuals emptying their attics and professional dealers rub shoulders, creating a diversity of offerings particularly appreciated by bargain hunters.
The flea market takes over several village spaces: Church Square, the historic heart of the town, the surrounding streets, and the School parking lots. This location choice in the village urban fabric creates a particularly warm atmosphere.
Beyond the simple flea market, the Seniors' Committee has turned the event into a real family celebration. For children, inflatable games are installed. Food and drinks are provided on site.
The event runs from 6 AM to 6 PM, with free admission for visitors. Rates for exhibitors: 10 euros for a 5-meter space for Sourdun residents, 13 euros for outside exhibitors, and 20 euros for professional dealers.
Located a few kilometers from Provins, a medieval city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Sourdun benefits from a privileged location for heritage and tourism enthusiasts.
