Pentecost Car Boot Sales of Villeneuve

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Pentecost Day, the medieval bastide of Villeneuve-d'Aveyron hosted its traditional car boot sale around the town walls. Between 100 and 200 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, set up their stalls along the 13th-century ramparts and the alleys of this town classified among The Most Beautiful Villages of France since September 2024. Antique tableware, trinkets, clothing, toys, books, vinyl records, vintage items, and curiosities attracted treasure hunters from all over the Villefranchois and Rouergat Quercy.

The parade of 1900s carriages, a highlight of the day, paraded through the streets of Villeneuve with its period carriages and re-enactors in Belle Époque costumes. This equestrian spectacle organized by the Cavaliers du Rouergue offered a striking contrast between contemporary treasure hunting and the elegance of early 20th-century coaches. Street entertainment, refreshments, and catering completed this festive day in an exceptional heritage setting, between the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Cardalhac and Soubirane gate towers.

The Pentecost Car Boot Sale of Villeneuve will return on Sunday, May 24, 2026, for a new edition in the heart of the medieval bastide of Rouergue.
