Hunt for treasures on Friday mornings in the heart of old Ganges

Every Friday in July, the Puces du Vieux Ganges take over the area around the market halls and the adjacent streets of the historic center. From 7:30 AM to 2 PM, exhibitors offer flea market items, vintage clothing, trinkets, antique tableware, books, vinyl records, tools, and curiosities. Stall space costs €5 for up to 4 meters or €10 for up to 7 meters. Exhibitor setup from 6:30 AM, free entry for visitors.

Ganges, southern gateway to the Cévennes

A small town of 4,000 inhabitants nestled at the confluence of the Hérault and the Vis rivers, Ganges (34190) is the southern gateway to the Cévennes. Once the capital of Languedoc silk production, the town retains a rich industrial and architectural heritage: private mansions, old spinning mills, covered market halls from the 19th century. The nearby Gorges de l'Hérault, the Cascades de la Vis, and the Cirque de Navacelles attract thousands of visitors every summer.
