Major permanent flea market in Villeurbanne, Thursdays and Saturdays 7am-1pm, Sundays 7am-3pm, year-round
Les Puces du Canal is one of the most frequented permanent flea markets in the greater Lyon area. Open year-round on Thursdays and Saturdays from 7am to 1pm and Sundays from 7am to 3pm, this outdoor market brings together a wide range of sellers each week: professional antique dealers, vintage clothing vendors, tool sellers, booksellers and private individuals clearing out their attics. You'll find an abundance of old and second-hand items: furniture, crockery, vintage clothes, tools, vinyl records, books, knick-knacks and all kinds of curiosities. Its genuine popular atmosphere makes it a favourite hunting ground for collectors and bargain hunters alike.
Villeurbanne (69100) is the second largest city in the Rhône department with nearly 150,000 inhabitants. Adjacent to Lyon, it forms with it a dense and lively urban area. A university and cultural city, it is home to INSA Lyon, the Théâtre National Populaire (TNP) and numerous cultural facilities. The canal district, undergoing major transformation for several years, blends business zones, green spaces and authentic neighbourhood life.
