Flea market for seamstresses and creative hobbies show organized by Patchwork en Marche
The Puces des Couturières of Saint-Vaury are an unmissable annual event for enthusiasts of sewing, patchwork, and creative hobbies in Creuse. Organized by the association Patchwork en Marche, this event brings together exhibitors at the Saint-Vaury gymnasium to sell or buy fabrics, haberdashery, patterns, sewing equipment, and handmade creations.
In a spirit of reuse and circular economy, the seamstresses' flea market gives a second life to unused sewing supplies. Visitors can find fabric scraps, spools of thread, old and new buttons, ribbons, zippers, vintage patterns, and even second-hand sewing machines. It's also an opportunity to discover unique creations made by passionate seamstresses from the region.
The association Patchwork en Marche brings together patchwork and textile arts enthusiasts from Marche creusoise. Active throughout the year with workshops and exhibitions, the association has been organizing the Puces des Couturières for over a decade, making this event a highly anticipated gathering for needlework lovers from all over Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Alongside the flea market, a patchwork exhibition allows visitors to admire the works created by the association's members during the year. This creative hobbies show is also an opportunity to exchange advice and tips among enthusiasts, in a warm atmosphere punctuated by the raffle and the tea room offered throughout the day.
