Grand flea market for Ascension with 350 pitches and 3 km of stalls in the streets of Allassac
The Puces de l'Ascension d'Allassac are a major event for bargain hunters from Limousin and Périgord. Organized by the association Les Vétérans Ardoisiers, they transform the main streets of Allassac into a huge flea market of nearly 3 kilometers every Ascension Thursday.
The stalls extend along avenues Victor Hugo, de la Gare, and du Saillant, offering 350 pitches to exhibitors. You can find everything: antique furniture, tableware, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, toys, tools, trinkets, and collectible items. Exhibitor fees range from €12 for 4 meters to €32 for 12 meters.
Allassac is a dynamic commune in the Brive basin, known for its slate heritage and walnut orchards. Located about fifteen kilometers north of Brive-la-Gaillarde, the town offers a pleasant setting for this day of bargain hunting, between green hills and the Vézère valley. Les Vétérans Ardoisiers perpetuate the memory of this age-old activity while animating local life.
Volunteers provide refreshment and catering services throughout the day. Entertainment accompanies the market to create a friendly and festive atmosphere, making this day a true popular event.
