Sainte-Anne-du-Castellet's spring bargain-hunting date
Organised by the Comité des Fêtes du Plateau du Castellet at the Sainte-Anne village hall, this spring flea market gathers private sellers and hunters in a village famous for its motor racing circuit and hilltop old town. A friendly day on the Castellet plateau with food on site.
Le Castellet has several faces: the medieval hilltop village, one of the Var's most picturesque, with its cobbled lanes and ramparts; and the plateau, another hub home to the Paul Ricard Circuit and the Sainte-Anne-du-Castellet hamlet. It is in the latter, on avenue Georges Clemenceau, that the Plateau Festival Committee hosts its annual flea market at the village hall.
The market mainly welcomes private sellers displaying attic finds: crockery, books, toys, clothing, small furniture, trinkets and decor. A few professional dealers complete the offer with rarer pieces — santons, antique linen, vinyl, Provençal tools.
The Comité des Fêtes du Plateau du Castellet runs village life year-round: patron saint's feast, neighbourhood events, culture. The flea market is a highlight of its calendar. Main contact: +33 6 32 30 43 95.
Vendors set up early in and around the village hall. Opening hours (9am-5pm) spread visitors evenly. The on-site food stand and refreshment bar round off the visit.
Visitors can extend the day by exploring the hilltop village of Le Castellet or take a wine detour to the plateau's Bandol AOC domains.
