Association bargain hunting at the foot of the castle
Picquigny is one of the most remarkable towns of the Somme valley. Its medieval fortified castle — famous for the 1475 treaty signed between Louis XI and Edward IV of England — still dominates the landscape. The Saint-Martin collegiate church, old gates and cobbled streets form an exceptional heritage setting.
Association-run flea markets have a special dimension: visitors know their presence directly funds association projects — social actions, cultural events, support to children, seniors or village life.
Mostly individual exhibitors emptying attics: clothing, shoes, toys, books, comics, crockery, small appliances, tools, childcare items, knick-knacks, decor, sports gear. Gentle prices, convivial atmosphere.
Bargain hunting and discovering one of the department's most impressive historic sites. The castle, collegiate church, Somme banks — a day in Picquigny is savoured fully.
