Flowers, producers, flea market and aligot in the Ségala
Pampelonne organises each spring one of the finest fairs in the department. On Sunday 26 April 2026, the Spring Fair takes over the streets and squares of the village centre, from 8am to 6pm. Led by UCAAP (Union of Merchants, Craftsmen and Farmers of Pampelonne), this popular event marks the Ségala's awakening after winter.
A vast market of flowers and plants, local market gardeners, food artisans, regional producers of the Ségala (sheep cheese, cured meats, peasant breads, honey, jams, Gaillac wines), and finally a flea market and brocante that spread through the village streets, with street stalls, professional and private exhibitors.
From 8am, tripoux breakfast: this traditional dish from the high plateaux, based on slow-cooked sheep tripe, is an identity marker of the Ségala and Aubrac. At noon, the mythical aligot-sausage, creamy preparation of mashed potato, fresh tome cheese and garlic, stretched like a long ribbon.
Pampelonne is a Tarn commune in the north of the department, in the heart of the Ségala, this land of green hills. Perched at 445 metres, the old village has preserved a charming rural heritage. Surroundings invite discovery: Viaur valley, Viaur viaduct (1902), bastides.
