Annual car boot sale organised by the Pablo Neruda School Parent Association in Saint-Priest
Every spring, the Pablo Neruda School Parent Association mobilises the school community and neighbourhood residents to organise a warm and lively car boot sale. On Sunday 26 April 2026, stalls line up to offer children's and adult clothing, toys, board games, books, baby items and many other everyday objects. Every euro raised goes directly towards school trips, cultural projects and educational materials for Pablo Neruda pupils. An essential event for Saint-Priest families that combines solidarity with conviviality.
Saint-Priest is an important commune in the Métropole de Lyon, recognised for its diverse economic fabric and rich associative life. The city has embraced cultural openness, notably by naming its schools after illustrious figures such as Pablo Neruda, the celebrated Chilean poet. This cultural outlook is reflected in the richness of educational projects led by its schools and parent associations, which organise numerous events each year to foster community spirit. Between industrial zones and leafy residential neighbourhoods, Saint-Priest offers a balanced living environment for its approximately 45,000 residents.
Saint-Priest is accessible from Lyon by tram T2 (terminus Saint-Priest Bel Air), the A43 motorway or the eastern ring road A46. Métropole de Lyon public transport serves the whole commune well.
