Philatelic, cartophilic, and numismatic fair in Montmarault
The Montmarault Philatelic and Cartophilic Fair is held annually in September over two days. This specialized fair brings together collectors of stamps, old postcards, coins, and philatelic items in a friendly atmosphere. Exhibitors, knowledgeable amateurs, and professionals offer rare pieces and lots to discover. An anticipated event for collectors in the region.
Every September, Montmarault hosts a fair dedicated to philately, cartophily, numismatics, and marcophily. This specialized fair, organized over two days, brings together enthusiasts of these collecting disciplines in a friendly and studious setting.
The fair covers a wide spectrum of collections: stamps from all countries and eras, old and semi-modern postcards, coins and medals, postal slogans, and franking marks. This diversity allows every collector to find items corresponding to their specialty, while also discovering other areas.
Montmarault, located at the crossroads of the A71 and RN145, is a natural meeting point for collectors from the Allier region and neighboring departments. The town, which also hosts an antique dealers' fair in the spring, thus affirms its role as a marketplace for enthusiasts of old objects and collectibles.
The two-day fair format allows for in-depth exchanges between exhibitors and visitors. Unlike general flea markets, the atmosphere is one of benevolent camaraderie among enthusiasts, where prices, rarities, and finds are discussed with shared pleasure.
