Place Madame de Montesson is named after Charlotte Jeanne BΓ©raud de La Haye de Riou, the morganatic wife of the Duke of Orleans in the 18th century, who owned a castle in Seine-Port. Today, this central square, shaded by majestic century-old lime trees, is the beating heart of the village and hosts markets and various events.
