Every Saturday morning, the esplanade in front of the halle in Mèze (34140) hosts a flea market and brocante that delights treasure hunters from the Bassin de Thau. From 7 am to 1:30 pm, stalls line up, offering antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, vintage clothing, tools, books, and flea market items. The location is ideal: right in the town center, a few meters from the port and the Étang de Thau, visitors can combine the pleasure of hunting for treasures with a stroll by the water.
Mèze is a fishing village and oyster farming town nestled on the north bank of the Étang de Thau, the largest coastal lagoon in Languedoc. Its specialty: Bouzigues oysters and mussels, enjoyed with your feet in the water at the oyster farmers' tables. The village charms with its picturesque port, medieval streets, and its dinosaur park, a major family attraction in the region. The flea market is part of this tradition of Mediterranean conviviality.
Exhibitors wishing to participate in the flea market must register by phone exclusively on Wednesdays from 8 am to 10 am. The market is held all year round, every Saturday, outdoors on the esplanade. Entry is free for visitors. After treasure hunting, you can extend the morning by enjoying oysters at the port, just a short walk away.
The Mèze flea market continues in 2026 every Saturday from 7 am to 1:30 pm on the esplanade in front of the hall. Free entry.
