The Mériel Garage Sale, a Tradition on the Banks of the Oise
In Mériel (95630), a tranquil village in the Oise valley, the Municipal Office for Sports and Leisure (OMSL) organises its annual traditional garage sale. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday 10 May, on the Espace Rive Gauche car parks, Place Jean Gabin, Ruelle du Lavoir, Rue des Petits Prés — a space ideally located on the banks of the Oise.
From 9 AM to 5 PM, between 50 and 100 private sellers display their second-hand items along the car park aisles. The registration fee is €10 per linear metre (minimum 2 metres). Visitors enter free of charge and can browse, rummage and negotiate among the clothing, toys, books, crockery and various curiosities on offer.
Festive Atmosphere: Crêpes and Bar On Site
The Mériel garage sale would not be complete without its festive atmosphere. The OMSL provides light catering on site — including the famous crêpes — as well as a bar to keep sellers and visitors going throughout the day. Toilets and parking are available.
