An unmissable spring event on the Causse de Gramat.

The Flower Market and Car Boot Sale of May 8th in Issendolus

Every year on May 8th, the village of Issendolus, on the Causse de Gramat in the Lot, organizes its most popular spring event: a large flower market and car boot sale that spreads across the Place de Buzat. From 8 am to 7 pm, exhibitors of all kinds and local producers take over the site to offer plants, flowers, regional products, and second-hand items in a festive and colorful atmosphere.

A Double Market: Flowers and Flea Market

The originality of the Issendolus event lies in its dual nature. On one hand, florists, horticulturists, and amateur gardeners offer a wide selection of flowering plants, herbs, vegetables, and ornamental plants to adorn gardens and balconies in spring. On the other hand, a traditional car boot sale allows you to find clothes, household items, toys, tableware, and curiosities at affordable prices. This unusual mix of floral scents and good deals attracts a large and enthusiastic crowd every year.

Regional Products and Local Crafts

In addition to flowers and the car boot sale, the event highlights regional products from the Lot and Quercy: jams, honey, foie gras, walnuts, Cahors wines, goat cheeses, and all the gastronomic specialties that make the region famous. Local artisans also present their creations, contributing to making this event a showcase of the artisanal and gastronomic excellence of the Causse de Gramat.

Food and Festive Atmosphere

Food is available on-site throughout the day: sandwiches, fries, drinks, and regional products allow visitors to eat and extend the experience in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, typical of public holidays in the villages of the Lot.

Issendolus, on the Causse de Gramat

Issendolus is a village on the Causse de Gramat, near Gramat and Rocamadour, in the Haut-Quercy. Its location on the causse gives it a remarkable natural environment, with its limestone meadows, pubescent oaks, and characteristic open landscapes.
