Organized by the Union Culturelle et Artistique de Sathonay (UCAS), the UCAS Flea Market is one of the flagship events of associative life in Sathonay-Camp. Private sellers and curious visitors from across the region gather for a day of bargain hunting and conviviality. Clothes, toys, books, crockery, furniture and various objects fill the stalls.

Sathonay-Camp, an atypical commune with a military history

Sathonay-Camp is a Rhône commune with a very particular character: it occupies the site of a former military barracks built in the 19th century to house Lyon garrison troops. With its orderly urban layout and singular architectural heritage inherited from its military past, it forms alongside Sathonay-Village an endearing local entity just north of the Lyon metropolitan area.
