Private sellers offer a varied assortment of second-hand items: clothes, toys, trinkets, tableware, books, tools, small furniture, and bric-a-brac. The event takes place outdoors in the town center, taking advantage of the green setting of this forest commune.
Teillay is a commune of about 2,000 inhabitants located 40 km southeast of Rennes, in the community of communes of the Pays de la Roche-aux-Fées. The village is bordered by the Teillay forest, a 900-hectare forest massif composed of oaks, beeches, and chestnut trees, which is a remarkable natural area for hiking and wildlife observation. The commune is crossed by the Seiche river, a tributary of the Vilaine, and retains quality rural heritage: Saint-Melaine church, purple schist farms, and shaded hollow paths.
The Teillay car boot sale is appealing due to its exceptional natural environment. Visitors can combine bargain hunting with a walk in the Teillay forest, accessible on foot from the village. Refreshments and food stalls complete the program. Entry is free.
The Teillay car boot sale returns on May 1st, 2026.
