Every Sunday, the parking lot on Route de Limoux, opposite the Le Black nightclub, transforms into a vast flea market where private individuals and professionals mingle. This weekly car boot sale is one of the busiest in the Aude department, with between 50 and 100 exhibitors present each week.

A market open to all, all year round

The market welcomes sellers from 7 am for setup, and visitors from 8 am to 6 pm. Private individuals looking to clear out their attics and professional dealers meet in a friendly atmosphere typical of Southern markets. The system is simple: no prior reservation, pitches are assigned upon arrival.

Carcassonne, capital of the Aude

Carcassonne (11000) is the prefecture of the Aude department, world-renowned for its medieval Cité, a UNESCO World Heritage site. With over 46,000 inhabitants, it is the largest city in the Aude. The Route de Limoux, a main road to the south of the department, runs along the lower town and offers easy access from residential areas as well as from the A61 motorway.

The diversity of exhibitors guarantees an eclectic offering: furniture, knick-knacks, clothing, books, vinyl records, crockery, tools, vintage toys, and collectibles. Regulars know the regular sellers well, while new exhibitors bring their share of surprises each week.
