Located in the heart of Plaisance-du-Touch, the Place du Bicentenaire is the scene each year in September of a large car boot sale that attracts bargain hunters from all over the western suburbs of Toulouse. With around 200 exhibitors, it is one of the most important car boot sale events in the town and its surroundings.

The organization is handled by Ouest Toulousain Basket, a local sports club that uses this event to fund its activities and liven up community life. The exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer a wide range of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, crockery, small furniture, appliances, trinkets, and sports equipment. A 5-meter linear pitch is offered at 10 euros, an accessible price that encourages high participation.
