Flea market of the firefighters' association in the center of the village of Fresnes-en-Woëvre
The Brocante des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Fresnes-en-Woëvre is organized by the firefighters' association in the center of the village, rue de Metz. The event traditionally takes place on May 8th or 10th in the village streets. Fresnes-en-Woëvre is the cantonal capital of the Woëvre plain, a vast agricultural area between the Côtes de Meuse and the Côtes de Moselle, dotted with ponds and forests.
The firefighters' association of Fresnes-en-Woëvre organizes its flea market every year in the village center. The event brings together exhibitors and bargain hunters in the streets of this rural village in the Meuse Woëvre region.
Historic cantonal capital, Fresnes-en-Woëvre is the main town of the Woëvre plain, a vast agricultural area stretching between the Côtes de Meuse to the west and the Côtes de Moselle to the east. This plain, dotted with ponds and forests, offers landscapes of great serenity. The region is also marked by the combats of the Great War, and numerous memorial sites are accessible in the surroundings.
The profits from the flea market are donated to the firefighters' association, contributing to the financing of their activities and equipment. Refreshments and food on site complete the offerings of this friendly day.
