Every August, the city of Paimpol hosts a car boot sale bringing together about sixty exhibitors in an exceptional maritime setting. The human-sized event offers visitors a pleasant and relaxed treasure hunt, a stone's throw from the port and the old town.
Paimpol is a port town of 7,000 inhabitants located on the Goëlo coast, in the north of Côtes-d'Armor. Made famous by the novel Fisherman of Iceland by Pierre Loti, the town preserves the memory of its sailors who left to fish for cod on the banks of Newfoundland and Iceland. The port, the shipowners' houses, and the cobbled streets bear witness to this glorious maritime past.
With its 60 exhibitors, the Paimpol car boot sale prioritizes friendliness and human contact. The stalls are spread out over a human-sized area, allowing visitors to take their time to rummage and chat with the sellers. The food and drinks available on site complete the offer for a pleasant morning of treasure hunting.
Booking is mandatory by phone at 06 41 57 36 33. The price is €5 for a 1.20 m table. Exhibitors can set up from 6 am.
