Millac Flea Market

A Sud-Vienne village flea market

Millac is a small commune of around 500 inhabitants in southeast Vienne, in the Montmorillonnais, near the Haute-Vienne border. Crossed by several streams, surrounded by woods and meadows, it's a typical village of this preserved territory: scattered housing, old farms, Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens church. The September flea market is one of the commune's summer rendezvous.

Millac and Sud-Vienne

Sud-Vienne is a little-known, preserved area worth the detour: rolling landscapes, forests, ponds, discreet heritage. Millac is one of those valley-bottom villages with lively associations. Near: Lussac-les-Châteaux (10 km) and its Prehistory Museum, L'Isle-Jourdain (12 km), Civray (25 km), Confolens in Charente, Le Dorat in Haute-Vienne.

Friendly atmosphere

Sellers often neighbours or nearby villagers who enjoy telling object stories: this armchair from grandma, this book travelled through the family, these knick-knacks decorated the holiday home. The narrative dimension is hard to find in big urban brocantes.
