The village of Mareuil-sur-Cher is renowned for its Touraine wines, particularly its white wines made from the Sauvignon grape. The car boot sale takes place in the village streets, near the river, amidst a landscape of vines and hillsides that gives this part of Loir-et-Cher its charm.
