Each year in November, the commune of Raucoules, in the Pays de Montfaucon in Haute-Loire, mobilizes for a cause that directly affects its community. The toy, clothing, and childcare sale organized by the Municipal Youth Council (CMJ) and Familles Rurales of Raucoules brings residents together with a dual objective: to allow families to buy and sell children's items at a lower cost, and to raise funds for the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association.

A Solidarity Commitment Rooted in the Local Fabric

The uniqueness of this sale lies in its charitable commitment. All profits generated by the event are donated to the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association, as a young resident of Raucoules is directly affected by this rare genetic disease. This commitment gives the event a strong emotional dimension and mobilizes the local community beyond the simple buying and selling of second-hand items.

The Municipal Youth Council and Familles Rurales in Action

The Municipal Youth Council of Raucoules is a participatory body that involves children and adolescents from the commune in local life. By engaging alongside Familles Rurales to organize this annual sale, the young councilors learn the ropes of event organization and develop their sense of solidarity. Each year, the mobilization of these young volunteers helps to raise at least 500 euros for the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association.

Around Thirty Exhibitors Expected

The sale takes place in the Raucoules multi-purpose hall, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Around thirty exhibitors offer toys, children's and baby clothes, and childcare equipment (strollers, high chairs, bouncers, etc.) at very attractive prices. Families in the area find bargains to dress their children and renew their equipment. To exhibit, participants must register with the organizers before the event.
