Sunday hunt in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez
Every Sunday 6am-4pm, the Chemin de Bagatin flea market in Grimaud gathers dealers and hunters in the enchanting Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Between the medieval perched village and the Port Grimaud marinas, this weekly rendezvous balances authentic hunting with Provençal charm. Notable edition on 4 January 2026.
Grimaud, emblematic Gulf commune, has always combined medieval heritage and seaside openness. The old perched village, crowned by the Grimaldi castle ruins, overlooks the plain down to the beaches. Between this Provençal highlight and the Port Grimaud marinas by François Spoerry, Grimaud offers a varied, strolling-friendly landscape.
The Sunday Chemin de Bagatin flea market fits this dual identity. The notable 4 January 2026 edition opens the winter season.
Every Sunday 6am-4pm, the market hosts private sellers, occasional dealers and small pros. Varied offer for both popular finds and seaside-themed pieces.
The old village is one of Provence's finest perched villages. Cobbled lanes, medieval castle, restored Saint-Roch mill and Saint-Michel church. Below, Port Grimaud, the Provençal Venice, offers canals and colourful houses.
Come early, especially in peak summer. Bring change and bags. Extend the morning with a port walk or restaurant. On-site parking.
On Sunday 4 January 2026, the Grimaud Bagatin flea market opened the season. From 6am to 4pm, private sellers and dealers met in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez for a first hunt of the year, in a calmer Provençal winter atmosphere. The weekly Sunday rhythm continues.
