The Glanois Car Boot Sale, an unmissable event by the Comité des Fêtes

Every year, the Comité des Fêtes of Glanes organizes its traditional car boot sale on the Place de la Halle and in the adjacent streets of the village center. Glanes, a charming hilltop village in the Dordogne Valley in the north of the Lot, offers an exceptional setting for this event which brings together around 60 exhibitors offering their finds.

A medieval setting for a day of treasure hunting

Glanes is a village with picturesque alleys and stone houses characteristic of the north of the Lot. The Place de la Halle, the historic heart of the village, hosts the exhibitors' stalls, and the surrounding streets extend the event to offer a pleasant treasure hunting route. The typical atmosphere of village car boot sales prevails here, in a preserved natural setting, between the causses and the Dordogne valley.

Prices and organization

The price for exhibitors is set at €3 per linear meter. Setup is open from 6:00 AM and visitors are welcomed from 8:00 AM. A drink is offered to each exhibitor at the refreshment stand. Registrations are made by phone at 07 44 82 74 38. Dedicated parking for exhibitors facilitates setup.

Small and great pleasures of the Glanois car boot sale

On site, a refreshment stand offers the famous Vin de Glanes, a village wine with a well-established local reputation, as well as small catering options to spend a full day without hassle. Public toilets are located near the church. Entry is free and open to all visitors.

The day of the car boot sale is also an opportunity to discover or rediscover Glanes, its medieval streets, its panoramas over the Dordogne valley, and the Quercy causses. Between two stalls, a walk through the village is a must to appreciate the local architecture and the heritage of this beautiful village in the north of the Lot.
