Professional flea market on the banks of the Seine in Fontaine-le-Port, in the heart of the Pays de Fontainebleau
The Fontaine-le-Port Flea Market takes place every spring in an exceptional riverside location on the Seine, at 20 Quai René Richard. This professional flea market brings together around sixty antique dealers and specialized sellers in a bucolic setting laid out in a guinguette style. Open on 25 and 26 April 2026, it attracts collectors and lovers of old objects from all over Île-de-France to hunt for bargains in the unique atmosphere of this Seine-et-Marne riverside village.
Twice a year, the village of Fontaine-le-Port (77590) hosts its large professional flea market on a privileged plot on the banks of the Seine, at 20 Quai René Richard. Organized over two days, Saturday and Sunday, this event has become a must on the Seine-et-Marne flea market calendar and fits into the tradition of the great Île-de-France antique fairs.
What sets the Fontaine-le-Port flea market apart is above all the beauty of its exceptional setting. Laid out on a grassy plot with direct views of the Seine, the site borrows from the guinguette riverside cafés that once made the Parisian riverbanks famous. Covered wooden stalls and outdoor spaces share the site, allowing professionals to showcase their finest pieces in a rural and friendly atmosphere. Visitors hunt for bargains to the rhythm of the river, lulled by passing barges and birdsong.
Unlike a car boot sale open to all, the Fontaine-le-Port flea market is exclusively reserved for professional dealers of antique goods. This specificity guarantees a high level of quality and a fine variety of offerings: period furniture, silverware, porcelain, glassware, paintings, engravings, antique jewelry, militaria, rare books, decorative objects, and various curiosities. With fifty to a hundred exhibitors depending on the edition, the event allows visitors to browse at length and strike up conversations with passionate, knowledgeable dealers.
Located just a few kilometers from Fontainebleau and its legendary forest, Fontaine-le-Port is one of those Seine-side villages where time seems to have stood still. Between the river and the edge of the forest, the village offers an ideal setting for a day of hunting and exploring. Visitors often take advantage of their trip to discover the forest trails, the climbing boulders of the Fontainebleau forest, or the imperial château, less than fifteen minutes away by car.
Organized by Sébastien Mirande, this flea market has built a loyal following among antique enthusiasts and Parisian decorators in search of original pieces. Its two-day format allows visitors to take their time, come back, compare, and negotiate. Refreshments and food are available on site, allowing visitors to have lunch in the rural setting of the flea market, in the shade of trees along the Seine. Admission is free and parking is accessible nearby.
The flea market takes place on 25 and 26 April 2026 from 9 AM to 6 PM. Admission is free for visitors. Professional exhibitors arrive as early as 7 AM to set up. Access is via 20 Quai René Richard in Fontaine-le-Port (77590). Parking nearby.
