A Port Festival in the Heart of Bessin

For several years, the port of Isigny-sur-Mer has hosted an original event in July, combining a car boot sale and a port festival with a guinguette spirit. Flea market stalls line the quay, while maritime animations and waterfront dining create a festive and friendly atmosphere. This festival is organized along the Promenade du Petit Marais, in Les Hogues, a picturesque setting on the estuary of the Vire river.

Hunt for treasures by the water

Between 50 and 100 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, display their treasures along the quay: furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, clothing, and various objects. Food businesses are excluded from the car boot sale area, but catering is provided by the organization with refreshments and meals by the water. The exhibitor fee is set at 3 euros per linear meter, with mandatory reservation and limited spaces.

Isigny-sur-Mer, a land of character

Isigny-sur-Mer is famous for its AOP Isigny butter and cream, but also for its fishing and pleasure port located at the mouth of the Vire and Aure rivers. This small town in Bessin, between the D-Day landing beaches of Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, offers an authentic setting for this summer festival. The dory boat rides, these traditional Norman boats, add a unique maritime touch to the event.
