Large annual flea market on rue du Stade in Duttlenheim with around 220 private exhibitors
The Duttlenheim Flea Market is a major annual event on the Alsace brocante calendar. Held in spring along rue du Stade, near the traffic light at the village entrance, it gathers around 220 private exhibitors from across Bas-Rhin and neighbouring departments. From 8am to 6pm, bargain hunters can browse the stalls for antiques, traditional Alsatian tableware, old furniture, vintage toys, books, bric-a-brac and collectibles. The event is enlivened by coffee and pastries in the morning, then grilled food, fries and draught beer all day long.
The Duttlenheim Flea Market has become one of the unmissable spring events in the Molsheim area. Held each April along rue du Stade, at the village entrance near the traffic light, it attracts thousands of visitors who come to browse the stands run by around 220 private exhibitors. The event welcomes both private individuals and professional dealers, guaranteeing a wide variety of items and prices.
From 8am to 6pm, visitors can wander at their own pace among the stalls and uncover real bargains: antiques, traditional Alsatian tableware, old furniture, clocks, bric-a-brac, second-hand books, vinyl records, vintage toys, old postcards, tools, vintage clothing and workwear. Each exhibitor offers their own finds, and the diversity of stands gives collectors and casual browsers alike something to discover. The open-air setting and sheer number of stalls make this one of the most complete markets in the area.
The Duttlenheim flea market also embraces conviviality. From early morning, a refreshment stand welcomes bargain hunters with coffee and pastries. By midday, the focus shifts to grilled food and fries, accompanied by the traditional draught beer served throughout the afternoon. Tarte flambee, sausages and desserts round out a tasty offering that turns the event into a true village celebration. It is also a chance to chat with locals, swap bargain-hunting tips and enjoy the warm welcome of the village.
Duttlenheim is a commune of around 3,000 inhabitants located southwest of Strasbourg, a few kilometres from Molsheim, in the Alsace plain. Surrounded by vineyards and fields, the village is known for its traditional heritage and typical half-timbered houses. It belongs to the dynamic community of communes of the Molsheim-Mutzig region and retains a strong associative identity. The flea market, run by a local association, perfectly illustrates this village spirit where volunteering and conviviality are essential.
