Annual car boot sale in Trésbœuf in September, in the heart of the bocage of the Pays de la Roche-aux-Fées
The Trésbœuf car boot sale enlivens the streets of this small village in southeastern Ille-et-Vilaine every September. An authentic and friendly end-of-summer event, typical of Breton village flea markets, in the heart of the bocage of the Pays de la Roche-aux-Fées.
Every mid-September, Trésbœuf (35240) organizes its annual car boot sale in the streets of the town center. Exhibitors, mainly individuals from the area, offer clothing, toys, books, tableware, tools, trinkets, small furniture, decoration, and various objects. The atmosphere is that of a real village car boot sale where everyone knows each other, far from the anonymity of large urban street sales. Residents of Retiers, Janzé, and neighboring towns come to hunt for treasures as neighbors.
Trésbœuf, a peaceful commune of 1,100 inhabitants, is nestled in the bocage of the Pays de la Roche-aux-Fées, between Retiers and Bain-de-Bretagne. The village has retained its rural character with its schist farms, hedgerows, and hiking trails. The car boot sale contributes to the liveliness of this area where associative life compensates for the small size of the communes through remarkable volunteer commitment.
Admission is free. A refreshment area with crepes, galettes-saucisses, and drinks is offered by volunteers. Grass parking on the outskirts of the village.
The Trésbœuf car boot sale returns on September 14, 2026, in the town center.
