The weekly rendez-vous for Toulon hunters
The Sainte-Musse flea market is a fixed weekly date on the Toulon chinage calendar. Held every Saturday and Sunday in the Sainte-Musse district, east of Toulon, it brings together brocanteurs and private sellers for a broad, constantly renewed offer : vintage furniture, tableware, clothing, books, bric-a-brac, tools. A popular, lasting address of the Var prefecture's flea-market scene.
Sainte-Musse, east of Toulon, has hosted for decades one of the most faithful flea markets on the Var coast. Every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, half-dealer half-private stalls line up for an offer ranging from polished brocante to family clear-out. This weekly continuity makes it a reference address for Toulon hunters and a must for Var enthusiasts.
Exhibitor diversity keeps stock rotating : 1950s-70s vintage furniture, old tableware and Provençal glassware, period clothing, books, vinyl records, old toys, bric-a-brac, tools, small appliances. Sharper items appear via specialists : watches, 20th-century militaria, old postcards. Prices stay accessible, true to popular flea-market spirit.
Sainte-Musse draws east-Toulon residents (La Garde, La Valette, La Crau), wider Toulon basin hunters and enthusiasts from Hyères, Six-Fours, Cuers. Var professionals scout here for fresh arrivals and good lots. Atmosphere is typically southern : animated talk, frank haggling, sung accents, coffee smells.
Sainte-Musse, long a peripheral Toulon area, has seen major urban change over fifteen years with the modern Sainte-Musse hospital, new housing and infrastructure. The flea market has endured and continues to animate the weekend life of the district.
