Spring bargain hunting in a historical Toulon site
The former Font Pré hospital, 1226 avenue Colonel Picot, is a familiar place in Toulon's collective memory. Decommissioned after services moved to the new Sainte-Musse hospital, it now hosts occasional events that bring the site back to life.
On Sunday 19 April 2026, a spring flea market takes over the outdoor grounds. The open space lets sellers settle comfortably while visitors stroll without rush. The setting, both urban and quiet, offers a welcome alternative to the large city-centre brocantes.
Organised by a local association, this market keeps the friendly spirit of neighbourhood flea markets. Sellers are mostly Toulon residents clearing cellars, attics and wardrobes. Expect china, books, children's and adult clothing, toys, small appliances, decor, knick-knacks and tools at modest prices.
The Font Pré / La Beaucaire / Saint-Jean area is an authentic Toulon district, off the tourist trail. The flea market is a fine chance to stroll through and extend the morning in one of the local cafés.
