Haguenau town centre traders' spring sidewalk sale
The Haguenau Spring Braderie takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the pedestrian streets of the historic town centre. Organised by the CAP Alsace traders' association, this large spring sidewalk sale mobilises the downtown shops which display their items in front of their windows and offer exceptional discounted prices throughout the day. A flower and plant market is set up on Place de Neubourg with a wide selection of plants and advice from professional horticulturists. Family activities accompany the day, including a giant trampoline installed in the Cour de la Decapole for the greatest pleasure of children. A friendly, festive and spring-like atmosphere in one of the most beautiful towns of northern Alsace.
The Haguenau Spring Braderie is one of the most anticipated commercial events in the Bas-Rhin sub-prefecture. Organised by the CAP Alsace association, which brings together the town centre traders, this great day of open-air selling transforms the pedestrian streets into a vast open-air market. The shops in the historic centre, clothing, footwear, decoration, leather goods, jewellery and toys, bring out their promotional items in front of their windows and offer shoppers exceptional discounted prices. It is the ideal opportunity to renew one's spring wardrobe, find bargains and enjoy the reopening of terraces in a festive atmosphere.
A highlight of this edition is a vast flower and plant market set up on Place de Neubourg. Horticulturists, nurserymen and amateur gardeners offer a wide selection of seasonal flowers, vegetable plants, aromatic herbs, rose bushes, perennials and shrubs, accompanied by the expert advice of passionate professionals. Families enjoy several free activities: a giant trampoline installed in the Cour de la Decapole delights children, while the pedestrian streets host musicians and street entertainment that set the tone for a joyful and friendly spring.
Haguenau, the fourth largest commune in Alsace by population, is a city with a rich imperial past whose historic centre preserves valuable heritage testimonies: the Saint-Georges church, the Knights' Tower, the Fishermen's Tower, the former chancellery and the Hop Hall. Surrounded by the vast Haguenau holy forest, one of the largest undivided forests in France, the town combines economic dynamism, commercial vitality and quality of life. The Spring Braderie is fully part of the agenda of great popular events that enliven the town centre throughout the year.
